The Zoo

Last week, Dan came home and surprised us with the idea of going to the zoo. So, we went! And we had great fun. All in all, the kids were pretty good. Simon signaled that it was time to leave by crying uncontrollably, but he managed to regain his composure for the car trip home. Upon exiting, Dan asked Zoe, "What were your favorite animals?" She said with utmost seriousness, "The Lions"


There are no lions at the Edmonton Zoo.

We spent the longest time watching this elephant give herself a mud bath and then pee in her bath. Zoe recounted this event to her grandma on the phone over a week later.

The Siberian Tiger... so cool

The Merry-Go-Round was a big hit with Zoe (it made me a little sick).

City girl Zoe is just as excited about the geraniums as she is about the Siberian Tiger.
