Zoe's New Dress

Today I made Zoe a dress! Start to finish, almost all during nap time!

the pattern...

(easy to sew... could it really be?)

the fabric...

cute, eh? (clearance, wahoo!)

step one: cut out pattern pieces

step one-a: trace and cut individual pattern pieces onto newsprint (to retain original pattern for re-use in larger sizes)

step two: iron fabric

step three: pin pattern pieces to fabricstep four: cut pieces and transfer pattern markings
step five: break out the sewing machine

(oh, how my MIL loves me)

step six: sew and VOILA!

... so... why do we call this "sewing"?
